Pioneer electronics serial number decoder

Find out when your Pioneer stuff was made

This tool decodes the serial number from Pioneer products to find the date of manufacture and resale value. It is primarily intended for vintage hi-fi and audio equipment but should work on anything manufactured by Pioneer from the 1950s to current day. The serial number is normally found on a sticker on the back, top or bottom of the unit and will start with 2 letters, these are the date part of the serial. As the date code part was repeated you may be given more than one possible option but they should be far enough apart for it to be obvious which one is correct for your item. If you wish to be given a link to find the resale value you should also enter the model number/name. There seem to be a few Pioneer branded items that may not be manufactured by pioneer themselves, for these items this decoder may not work. Please let me know if you find such a model.
